SmartNet Tour: EUW17, EDSO workshop and ENTSO-E conference
SmartNet at the European Utility Week
On Wednesday 4 October, the SmartNet Project coordinator Gianluigi Migliavacca will participate in the Panel:
Towards A Pan-European Approach To Data Handling
The European Commission is supporting, via Horizon 2020 – the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever – close to market projects on Smart Grids and Energy Storage. SmartNet and other 21 BRIDGE projects will be showcased during the European Utility Week on 3-5 October in Amsterdam.
Summary of the Panel: data flow and accessibility are largely perceived as key enablers to support the energy transition and new business opportunities in Europe. Still, several are the barriers towards a pan European approach that could prevent the emergence of new competitive services. H2020 projects have progressed towards innovative approaches to Data Management and cooperated in the framework of the BRIDGE initiative to boost the removal of existing barriers.
