In the context of the Work Package 5 of SmartNet H2020 project, the Italian Pilot Project (Pilot A) investigated the technical feasibility of ancillary service provision with central dispatch activation: aFRR (automatic Frequency Restoration Reserve) and Voltage Regulation from Distributed Generation (DG) respecting DSO’s real-time operational constraints, TSO Hierarchycal Voltage Regulation from sub-trasmission HV connected generation (132 kV), Voltage Regulation along DSO feeders by DGs.
